Avoca, the beautiful enchanting store of many levels that offers delicious food and treats and fabulous fashions and homeware.
The Dublin city store is located right in the heart of the capital in a fabulous building on Suffolk street. It is a 7 level mini-department store. Awash with colour and fresh thinking it also boasts a light-filled award winning café at the top level of the store and an extensive foodhall, deli and coffee shop on the basement level.
Avoca is a treasure trove of the gorgeous and the interesting, from fashion to home furnishings, kidswear to toys, aromatics to jewellery.
They promote Ireland and all things Irish from their beautiful jams at €4.95 a jar to their Irish teas. They are also known for their authentic throws and handcrafted woolen blankets. This rich authenticity attracts not only the tourist but the Irish customer too.
The family company that is Avoca today started as a manufacturer back in 1723. To this day they handweave at the original Mill in the picturesque village of Avoca, at the Meeting of the Waters in Co.Wicklow. Avoca rugs, throws, blankets in natural fibres are 100% pure new lambswool, mohair, cashmere, angora, even cotton and linen making homes beautiful, people stylish and life cosy right across the world. From Berlin to Boston, Dublin to Dubai, Sydney to San Francisco, Avoca handiwork gives pleasure as it has done for just short of 300 years.
Their amazing food is a must whether it’s just a snack or a full lunch meal. Healthy and delicious flavours. There is a very popular foodhall and deli in the basement with great take-out, fresh baking daily, rotisserie free range chicken and a casual coffee shop for a quick pick me up.
