Best Spots to Dine in Dublin with Visa Contactless

Written by Daniel Fortes on February 23, 2016. Posted in Food Food Offers

Everyone likes to treat themselves, and over the next week the Dine in Dublin festival offers the opportunity to do just that. To make things that little bit easier, here’s a roundup of participating restaurants where you can get your foodie fix for less than €30 and pay seamlessly with Visa contactless.

The Exchequer

exquchThe Exchequer is the ideal spot for a cosy date night or why not gather a group and start your night off in style in this prime location. Try their delicious fish and chips which are excellent value at just €15 all day every day.

San Lorenzo’s

sanlorSan Lorenzo’s “brunch of champions” is a bit of an institution in Dublin, and rightly so! Their brunch is nothing short of perfection and my favourite way to spend a lazy Sunday. Anything from Coco Pops French toast to the traditional full Irish is available on their menu. With prices in and around the €12.95 mark you can even throw in a cocktail or their famous baked Nutella cheesecake with the ease of using Visa contactless.

Coppinger Row

coppingerCoppinger Row is one of my favourite places for getting some sharing plates, a glass of wine and watching the world go by. Located just off Grafton Street this is a great spot to sit back and relax after a day of shopping!

Opium

opiumI’m a big fan of Asian flavours, and Opium is one of my go-to spots for great pan-Asian style cuisine. Their sharing plates are a good way of sampling a number of different dishes, ranging from just €8-€12. If you’re feeling a bit hungrier their beef Penang curry is one of my favourites and ultra satisfying, also offering great value at €18.50. The atmosphere here is always top notch and it’s an excellent spot for a night out with friends.

La Cave

lacaveOne of Dublin’s oldest wine bars, La Cave, is a hidden gem. With excellent French food and over 350 wines to choose from, you are guaranteed to leave here feeling satisfied. With their bistro mains starting at just €9.95 you can dine like a king here with the ease of using contactless.

All of the restaurants listed are taking part in the Dine in Dublin festival which takes place from February 22nd to 28th. Check out the festival specials and event line-up here!
