The Peacock Café Is The New Must-Go On The Northside

Written by on October 29, 2015. Posted in Coffee Food
The Peacock Café provides an engaging and homey atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and order some tea, while you talk to the person next to you. While you’re at it, why not see a performance in the Peacock Theatre?

The Café is the perfect spot for a stop in lunch, and a pre-theatre supper, and while all the food is freshly prepared right there in the kitchen, treat yourself to a traditional, fresh, Irish craft beer. Their day to evening menu varies from scones and a full Irish breakfast, to creative sandwiches up the wazoo, to hearty dinners that are simply inviting. Some meals are made gluten-free for those who need it as well. With sugar cubes at every table, they add a little touch of sweetness to the Café.

When you first walk downstairs towards the Café, the long table that can be used for meetings, as well as people who want random interaction with others, is just simply inviting. When the Café has scratch nights, sitting at that long table will just create more conversation between you and the next person.

It’s the perfect place to go with your friends or family, after a long shopping day. It’s never too loud, and the attitude presented is fuss-free. Sometimes when you want to find a new place to sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning, the Peacock Café is the perfect morning start you need.

The quote on the back wall is what some people call a statement piece. Instead of having a chandelier for a conversation starter, the quote allows people to have their conversation started for them, and allows them to think to themselves what it means. Once people start reading the quote, they can then find the others in the room who are puzzled by it as well. But you’ll have to go to the Café to know what the quote says.

The open concept and the bright lighting, establishes a creative platform that is accompanied by a satisfying mood. With all these conversation starters around the Café, how could it not draw you in? At least go try their traditional scone that is just filled with happiness. Served with a mason jar of jam and butter, for a little extra spark of deliciousness.
