Arnotts Autumn/Winter Collection 2014
Last week the Dublin Fashion team went along to Arnotts Department Store for a very fashionable breakfast event to get a sneak peak of what will be hitting the store next season, and we were not disappointed with this year’s offerings! Believe us when we say that every piece is more than exquisite!
The Arnotts Autumn/Winter collection is casual and contemporary, in a predominantly muted palette with small flashes of colour keeping it fresh and modern. New brands were added to the fray this year including Hugo Boss men’s collections, and House of Dagmar and Raoul for the ladies.
Ladies will lust after the demure lace detail dresses and oversized bags, which all screamed ‘buy me’ as they were elegantly strutted up and down the runway. Sophisticated knitwear was also a winner and a winter wardrobe necessity for when you need something soft and cosy. When the winter chills arrive, you will also be fashionably prepared with one of the stunning contemporary, colourful, and monochrome coats that are set to be next season’s wardrobe staple. Other favourite picks from this season’s collection include matching separates, cute dresses, and smart outerwear.
Menswear collections ranged from classic grey tailored suits to casual wear with fusions of sports and luxury to keep the boys happy. Combining classic styles with new twists have resulted in looks that are sleek, simple, and will last for many seasons to come. The core colour palette for the season is indigo and grey, while brighter blues including teal and cobalt adds character and contrast. Berry tones, such as raisin red and burgundy, add a pop of colour to this somewhat muted mood.
